About the Project

The story

Creating a warm, inviting atmosphere requires more than simply adding light—it requires carefully engineered lighting that evokes emotion. In collaboration with BRC Imagination Arts, OneEightyOne developed a bespoke architectural lighting solution for the resort, designing custom chandeliers that recreate the soft, flickering appearance of real candlelight while meeting the performance and reliability demands of a modern hospitality environment.

By combining multiple LED lighting technologies into a single fixture, we created an elegant lighting experience that enhances the guest journey throughout the resort. The result is a seamless blend of innovative engineering, energy-efficient lighting, and carefully controlled illumination that delivers warmth, comfort, and timeless character.

PROCESS

Custom Chandelier Design

Every chandelier was specifically engineered for this project using a combination of Flexwasher luminaires, custom Amber Drift LED modules, and precision downlights. To achieve a natural candlelight effect, custom diffusers and caps were developed, allowing the different light sources to blend into a single, warm and uniform glow. The result is a bespoke lighting fixture that captures the ambience of candlelight while offering the reliability of modern LED technology.

Precision LED Engineering

At the core of the installation is a flexible LED lighting system designed for maximum performance and versatility. The 32W, 24V luminaires are available in Warm White, RGB, and RGBW configurations with multiple beam angles to suit different lighting applications. Their adjustable mounting system allows each fixture to follow curved architectural elements with precision, ensuring consistent illumination throughout the installation while maintaining a clean and discreet appearance.

Energy-Efficient Hospitality Lighting

To complete the lighting concept, OneEightyOne integrated Dim-to-Warm LED downlights that replicate the familiar glow of traditional halogen lighting while reducing energy consumption by up to 82%. Combined with the custom chandeliers, these high-efficiency fixtures create layered illumination that enhances the resort's atmosphere, providing comfortable, welcoming spaces for guests while delivering the long-term performance and sustainability expected from modern hospitality lighting.
