About the Project

The story

As visitors approach Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, they are welcomed by two monumental custom-made chandeliers, each measuring approximately 9 × 9 metres. These striking installations transform the stadium entrance into an immersive dynamic lighting experience, using thousands of individually controlled pixels to create vibrant animations and captivating visual effects that reinforce the venue's iconic identity.

To bring this vision to life, OneEightyOne developed a bespoke pixel-controlled LED lighting solution featuring custom LED strips with opal globes, powered by the DiGidot C4 control system. Working in close collaboration with KAP Lighting and ASTOUND Group, the project combines advanced lighting technology with precision engineering to deliver a memorable architectural lighting installation that enhances the visitor experience before they even enter the stadium.

PROCESS

The custom chandelier

At the core of this project is the custom DiGi Globe and RGBW LED Strip by OneEightyOne. Using experience from earlier showcases, the team created a unique lighting solution with 7,600 DiGi Globes. Through smart integration, technology and aesthetics merge seamlessly, bringing pixel-controlled chandeliers to life.

Remote installation assistance

Adapting to global circumstances, OneEightyOne embraces innovation through remote management. Despite pandemic restrictions, the assembly, programming, and synchronization of the DiGi Globes and RGBW LED Strip were flawlessly executed from a distance. This resulted in a beautiful installation, capturing the essence of the design, while overcoming logistical hurdles.
