About the Project

The story

In the hustle and bustle of one of the world's busiest airports, there is a hidden oasis. The Privium Lounge at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport is a place where travelers can rest and decompress before they set off on their next adventure.

We were commissioned to create three dynamic light surfaces together with the Privium Design team—one for the entrance, welcoming visitors into the lounge; one for the lounge area; and one for the bathrooms. The light scenes feature smooth, abstract gradients, bringing the whole design together with an ambient Northern Lights setting.

PROCESS

Dynamic Light Surface

We were commissioned to create three dynamic light surfaces together with the Privium Design team—one for the entrance, welcoming visitors into the lounge; one for the lounge area; and one for the bathrooms. The light scenes feature smooth, abstract gradients, bringing the whole design together with an ambient Northern Lights setting. 

Clean and precise effect

To achieve the flush effect we provided DiGi LED Strip Multi Color with RGBW color mixing and a precise 100mm pitch. Featuring 4in1 LED technology, it combines RGB color mixing with either 2700K warm white or amber for enhanced color depth and versatility.  

All-in-one solution

The result is a beautiful canvas of ever-changing light, a decorative and functional solution for the visitors
