About the Project

The story

Waldorf Astoria glows in quiet symphony across the Ras Al Khaimah skyline. Like a golden crown, the building’s polygon form is elevated through illumination. This striking effect was made possible thanks to more than 1000 meters of our G24 Linears lighting up the façade.

The details are highlighted with our F12 Beams in tunable white - a perfect product choice to reveal forms and textures with natural and inviting light. Upon client’s request, the beam optics were narrowed down to a customized 10° angle, to light up each detail with intention and care. For the integrity of the architecture, the housing of our fixtures was coated in client-selected color from RAL, a standardized color-matching system widely used in industrial design. The selected color matched the exterior finish of the building, to blend the light source with façade design and keep it neatly concealed.

THE
PROCESS

Precise color matching

For the integrity of the architecture, the housing of our fixtures was coated in client-selected color from RAL, a standardized color-matching system widely used in industrial design. The selected color matched the exterior finish of the building, to blend the light source with façade design and keep it neatly concealed.

Customized beam angle

This project uses our Beam F12 Tunable White, specifically crafted to reveal forms and textures with natural,  inviting light. Upon client's request, the beam angle of the projector was set to a customised degree, so each ray of light is casted with intention and precision.

Scale Meets Subtlety

Due to the scale of the building, more than 100 meters of linear lighting define the Waldorf Astoria after dark. A soft, warm white glow is achieved using the G54 Tunable White Linear, delivering an elegant glow and welcoming atmosphere. It is an ideal solution for large-scale architectural illumination where consistency, style, and control come together.
